Dr. Heather Yost was born and raised in Elk Horn, IA. She completed her undergraduate studies at Iowa State University where she received a Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sports Science. For her Doctoral studies, she attended Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri. There she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and her Doctorate in Chiropractic.
While at Logan she extended her studies outside the regular curriculum with post-graduate studies in nutrition, pregnancy and pediatrics, acupuncture, and balancing female hormones. She then attended the Functional Medicine University where she became a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner.
Outside of her office Dr. Heather leads the same lifestyle she encourages her patients to lead. She is an avid runner, bike rider, and prioritizes exercise and nutrition, knowing that the health comes from the inside out. Even her twin girls, Ava and Gavyn (17) and son, Kallen (14), are taught about the body and how to keep it as healthy as possible.
